Give Help
You can make a difference.
Our fight to help those affected by homelessness in Kent relies on the support of people just like you.
There are plenty of ways that you can give help. This page contains lots of ideas, but feel free to use your creativity! If you’re sharing on social media, be sure to tag us in (you can find our accounts here) and use the hashtag #streetangelsmsa.
Of course, if you have any questions about how fundraising or how you can be involved, just get in touch with our team here.

Register rough sleepers on Streetlink
Streetlink is a service that allows people to register rough sleepers when they see them, to ensure they’re looked after and not missed.
How to donate financially to MSA
You can donate money towards the work of MSA online via Paypal. To do so, just use the button below.
You can also donate by visiting our Facebook page and clicking the ‘Donate’ button.
Your donations make a difference — every penny goes towards the charity’s work of providing food, drink, equipment and support to those in need.
Donate food, clothes, or other items
You can also donate some of the items that we need.
We greatly appreciate donations of food items that we can use to cook the meals that we give out, as well as food items that we can distribute directly.
We also give out clothes and camping equipment, so if you have any of those to donate, that would be fantastic.
The items which we need most are listed below:
Men’s and women’s clothing (including coats and outerwear), tents and camping equipment, bedding, toiletries.
If you are keen to purchase items to donate, you can view our Amazon wishlist here which has lots of things that we currently need. You can also get in touch to find out what would be most appropriate.
All donations can be dropped off in person at our unit: Suite 4B, Centre Court, Sir Thomas Longley Road, Medway City Estate, Rochester, ME2 4BQ (you can click here for directions). We also have many private addresses for local drop offs, in places including Gillingham, Rainham, Halling, Maidstone. We are able to collect items from local addresses should transport not be available to you.
If you have any questions or require any of the drop off addresses, just send us a message.
Fundraising for MSA
We love to see the different ways that our supporters raise funds for the Medway Street Angels, enabling us to continue the charity’s essential work.
There are so many different ways to raise funds.
In the past we’ve seen all sorts of ideas, both from individuals and organisations! You could run a sponsored event if you’re feeling athletic. Perhaps you could hold a quiz night or have a prize raffle with ticket sales being donated.
We’ve seen some great ideas from schools too — some have held coffee mornings and discos, as well as ‘dress-down’ non-uniform days and talent shows.
You can also help out by collecting donations on our behalf: for example, your business could ask employees to bring in donations of clothing, camping essentials, bedding, food and toiletries.
If you’re planning on doing a fundraiser, you can send us a message and let us know. We can then offer some tips as well as details of what to do with the funds you’ve raised!
No matter what I ask for they will always get them for me. I like to wear shirts and ties as they make feel better than anything else.
The food is always nutritious with lots to choose from. They are the best soup kitchen I go to because of the atmosphere I feel safest.

Volunteer with MSA
We rely on the support of our team of amazing volunteers!
Our soup kitchens are manned by our dedicated helpers who ensure each guest leaves feeling happier than when they arrived.
People get involved with MSA to help those in need, but they stick around because their opinions are respected and they can see the difference they make. Whether you give up one evening a week or volunteer every day, you will see yourself becoming more and more compassionate and vigilant to those in your surroundings!
On average we cook around 70 meals a night, twice per week, before delivering them to the team operating at that night’s soup kitchen. So we are always looking for people who would be willing to help us with regular cooking. We would pay for you to attend a food hygiene course, so don’t worry if you’ve not previously done this.
You can fill out the volunteer application form now, or if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to get in touch.
So when the opportunity to volunteer with The Medway Street Angels came about I jumped at the chance.
And what a wonderful charity it is. The continuing and unceasing help we give those less fortunate and to those who others simply turn a blind eye to is amazing and we welcome them all with open arms.
